Job Description

The Pharmacy Department at Mackay Base Hospital is seeking a Pharmacist to join the team permanently. In this role, you will provide optimised pharmaceutical care to patients and carers, supporting safe and effective medication use and strengthening communication between the healthcare team and the patient.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver patient-centred pharmaceutical care

Promote quality use of medicines

Support clinical teams with medication advice and guidance

About the Team

The Pharmacy Service at Mackay Base Hospital provides hospital-based (non-retail) pharmacy services seven days a week, supplying medications solely for inpatient use based on hospital prescriptions. The team is committed to a high standard of clinical pharmacy practice with a focus on patient wellbeing.
