We are seeking an experienced, service-driven Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to lead our pharmacy operations and team while maintaining the highest standards of patient care.
_*Position Overview:*_
The Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of pharmacy operations, regulatory compliance, and staff leadership. This role is ideal for a confident pharmacy leader who excels in customer service, values patient relationships, and has a proven track record of managing a pharmacy efficiently and effectively.
The PIC will work closely with ownership and staff to ensure smooth daily operations, strong workflow management, and a positive, patient-focused culture.
_*Key Responsibilities:*_
– Serve as Pharmacist-in-Charge in compliance with Virginia Board of Pharmacy regulations.
– Oversee and manage daily pharmacy operations to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and patient satisfaction
– Lead, mentor, support, and evaluate pharmacy staff and technicians
– Work with ownership to ensure full compliance with all state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations
– Ensure accurate dispensing, verification, and patient counseling
– Provide immunizations and oversee clinical services (MTM, adherence programs, etc.)
– Develop and optimize workflow processes to minimize wait times and improve service quality
– Foster exceptional customer service and long-term patient relationships
– Communicate effectively with prescribers, vendors, and regulatory agencies
– Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and compliant pharmacy environment
_*Qualifications:*_
– Active Pharmacist license in the state of Virginia (required)
– Eligible and willing to serve as Pharmacist-in-Charge (required)
– PharmD or BS in Pharmacy
– Previous PIC or pharmacy management experience preferred
– Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills
– Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills
– Immunization certification (required or willingness to obtain promptly)
– Proven ability to manage workflow, staff, and operations independently
