Responsibilities:

– Provide pharmaceutical care to patients by dispensing medications, providing medication therapy management, and administering vaccines and non-vaccine injections.

– Ensure the safe and effective use of medications through medication order review, drug utilization management, and therapeutic interventions.

– Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes and promote evidence-based medicine.

– Participate in medication reconciliation and medication safety initiatives.

– Provide patient counseling on medication use, side effects, and drug interactions.

– Oversee the preparation and dispensing of medications and work with technicians to do so safely and efficiently.

– Monitor patient response to therapy and adjust medication regimens as necessary, in collaboration with providers.

– Maintain accurate and complete patient records.

– Work with owner and other staff pharamcists to advance pharmacy practice at location by intorducing novel and billable healthcare services that augment pharmacy dispensing services.

Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited school of pharmacy.

– Current pharmacist license in the state of Wisconsin.

– Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and standards of practice.

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

– Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

– Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication dispensing.

– Current certification to provide vaccines and non-vaccine injections or willingness to become certified.

– Wisconsin Pharmacy Quality Collaborative (WPQC) certification or willingness to become certified.

– Experience or understanding of Medication Therapy Management (MTM) services and billing/documentation of such services.

Pay: $63.00 – $66.00 per hour

* The pharmacy is open 359 days a year. Working weekends, both Saturday and Sunday is required as well as days surrounding the 6 holidays we close. Weekends are rotated amongst pharmacist staff. Are you willing to work weekends?
