ADF Health Services delivers integrated healthcare to Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel nationwide. Through the Serco–Bupa partnership, more than 50 on-base locations are supported with defence-ready clinical teams, ensuring high-quality, on-site medical care for serving members.

About the Role

As a Pharmacist at the Albatross Health Centre (HMAS Albatross, Nowra), you will provide pharmaceutical, medical, and dental logistic services in line with relevant laws, professional standards, and Defence policies.

Your responsibilities will include:

Dispensing and medication supply

Inventory and stock management

Promoting safe and effective medication use

Providing technical advice to clinicians

Offering training and support to other health practitioners

About Albatross Health Centre

Located in Nowra, NSW, approximately 2.5 hours south of Sydney, HMAS Albatross is Australia’s largest operational naval establishment and the Navy’s only air station. The health centre supports up to 1,500 ADF members, offering services in general practice, aviation medicine, dental, mental health, physiotherapy, nursing, and pharmacy.

Standard Hours: Monday–Friday, 0730–1530
(On-call duties apply only to medical officers for aviation retrievals.)

About You

You are an experienced Pharmacist with strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a methodical, safety-focused approach to clinical logistics. You work well independently and in multidisciplinary teams, and you uphold the highest standards of professionalism and ethical conduct.

To Be Successful, You Must Have

Unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Pharmacist

Minimum 2 years full-time (or equivalent part-time) experience in Defence, Hospital, or Community Pharmacy within the last 5 years

Recent CPD consistent with AHPRA requirements

Current CPR certification (HLTAID009)

Membership with PSA or SHPA (desirable)

High level of integrity and ethical behaviour

Australian Citizenship (required for Baseline Security Clearance)
