Salary

$1,604.76 – $2,375.32 per week

Employment Type: Temporary Full-Time (38 hours/week)

Job Description

We are seeking a Grade 1/2 Pharmacist to join the Campbelltown and Camden Hospitals Pharmacy team. This role is ideal for an enthusiastic pharmacist with a “can-do” attitude and experience in delivering clinical pharmacy services in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities:

Provide a wide range of pharmacy services to inpatients and outpatients, including dispensing, distribution, manufacturing, and clinical services

Promote safety and quality in drug therapy

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and professional development

Contribute to education and supervision of pharmacy staff and students

Develop and deliver clinical services to specialist areas in collaboration with clinical leads

Ensure safe, appropriate, and cost-effective use of medicines

This role involves rotational placements across clinical areas, offering exposure to diverse patient populations and specialist services.

Qualifications

Full Pharmacist registration with AHPRA, with no restrictions on scope of practice

Experience in providing clinical pharmacy services, preferably in a hospital setting

Strong oral and written communication skills for interacting with hospital staff, patients, and carers

Competence in clinical drug knowledge and its application in clinical settings

Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams

Experience supervising support staff and promoting teamwork

Excellent organisational and time management skills

Understanding and application of quality improvement methodology
